Military engraved 523rd Transportation Co. Ace of Spades Gun Crew Cigarette Lighter. The lighter is engraved Vietnam 70-71 523rd Trans Co. and with the image of the patch worn by the gun truck crew on the Ace of Spades during the Vietnam War. The 523rd was a line haul unit highly decorated during the Vietnam War which served in the I Corp northern region of the country from the High Van pass which was north of Da Nang to the DMZ. . The lighter is new and never struck. The bottom of the lighter is unbranded. The gun truck image has been professionally attached to the lighter. Engraving on back(see photos).The image and engraving is well done and very attractive. I had several of these lighters personally made and modified with the patch image as I served on the gun truck during the Vietnam War. I have one that I don’t need so am selling it. Maybe another Vet of the 523rd will like it. Lighter is full size and comes with a nice tin box for safe keeping(see photos). A nice current made collectable for someone who served in this unit during the war.
